Rhinoplasty, commonly known as a "nose job," is a cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedure to amend features of the nose. It can correct the nostrils, nasal bridge, symmetry, a tilted septum, or reconstruct the nose to resolve breathing problems. It promotes self-esteem and facial symmetry, helping patients achieve their ideal facial profile.
Routine blood tests, medical evaluation, and stopping smoking at least 2 weeks prior to surgery. Medications that thin blood are discontinued.
Rhinoplasty is performed under general anesthesia or IV sedation for your comfort throughout the surgical procedure.
Incisions are made either inside the nostrils (closed) or across the columella (open). Bone and cartilage are reshaped, added, or removed as needed.
A nasal splint and packing are placed post-surgery. Most patients return to work within 1–2 weeks. Final results are visible after 6–12 months as swelling fully resolves.
