Botox

Botox is the abbreviated name of botulinum toxin. It is a substance whose primary constituent is protein and is produced by bacteria. This substance is used in the rejuvenation of the face, primarily to lighten the wrinkles to make a face look more youthful. Forehead furrows, frown lines, crow’s feet and skin bands in the region surrounding the neck are some common categories of wrinkles.

Formation of wrinkles is one of the foremost signs of getting old. Frowning, squinting, chewing, smiling, or any such facial movements can highlight your wrinkles. It gives you a tired appearance if you are not. Application of botox is the safest and fastest method to cure wrinkles.

Botulinum toxin stops the nerve signals reaching the face muscles, which in turn weakens them and they are unable to contract, thereby reducing the appearance of unwanted wrinkles. A small amount of botulinum toxin is injected into affected muscles, and the process does not require more than 15 minutes. The usage of anaesthesia is not required. There is no such recovery time, and you may get back with your regular chores immediately.

Within the next few days, you will start getting results; however, the complete results can be seen only after a week. The effect of botox lasts for about six months, and after that, when the effects fade, the wrinkles will reappear. It is not a permanent method to remove wrinkles.

After the treatment, one must prevent himself from rubbing or massaging the treated areas. It can transfer the toxin to a different area of the face and cause facial weakness.
